A recognition for expertise, impact and results
What is the Microsoft Data & AI Designation?
The Microsoft Data & AI Designation is a substantive quality mark from Microsoft, awarded to partners who demonstrably excel in delivering advanced data and AI solutions in the Azure platform.
To achieve this status, we had to meet a wide range of requirements regarding certifications, customer projects, revenue targets and technical maturity.
Investing in people
Achieving this designation required a significant investment in people, projects, and technology. Several employees earned official Microsoft certifications, including DP-900, DP-203, AI-102, and AZ-104. This demonstrates that the necessary technical expertise is readily available within the team.
In addition to certification, Microsoft also requested proof of customer impact. Victa submitted five Data & AI projects for this purpose, which were successfully completed and confirmed by the customers themselves. These references were then registered in the Microsoft Partner Center.
Another important component was the contribution to Azure consumption. Victa had to demonstrate that its solutions actually run in production at customers – for example, via Microsoft FabricSynapse of Machine Learning. This proves that we don't just advise, we actually implement.
Internally, everything also needed to be in order. We established a structured training program to continuously educate consultants and engineers on topics like Synapse, Fabric, Data Factory, and AI services. Best practices and accelerators have been established so they can be widely applied in customer journeys.
Measurable knowledge, customer impact and commercial performance
The bar for this designation is considerably higher than for the old partner levels like silver or gold. While those statuses were primarily based on license volumes, this new approach requires substantive substantiation. It focuses on measurable knowledge, customer impact, and commercial performance.
This makes this recognition not only special, but also distinctive. Only a small number of partners in the Netherlands meet these requirements. Victa is now one of them.
