Proud of Victa Data Platform
Our own solution for data management
I am extremely proud to say that at Victa we have developed our own solution: the Victa Data Platform (VDP). While we normally use software and services from top vendors, we saw an opportunity to build something ourselves. A solution that specifically addresses the needs of our customers.
Needs of our customers
Together with our DevOps and DataOps team, spread across Amsterdam and Borne, we have been working on the platform for a while now. It actually came about in silence, but it is now running as a full-fledged product at more than 25 customers. What started as a data management solution has developed into a platform that we are very proud of.
The idea came from a clear need we saw with many of our customers, especially those working with Dutch SaaS products such as Exact Online, Twinfield, AFAS, Nmbrs, TOPdesk and Shopify. There was simply no good solution to bring data safely, quickly and completely to an analytics environment. We often used direct connections, but they regularly caused problems. That had to change.
A scalable solution
That is why we developed the Victa Data Platform, a robust and scalable solution. With this we ensure that our dashboards are always provided with up-to-date, complete and reliable data. In addition to data collection, the platform also offers secure storage in a cloud data warehouse, so that we can perform the necessary data transformations. Data directly from the source is rarely ready for analysis. Often it still needs to be cleaned and enriched to be truly valuable.
Another major advantage of VDP is that we have standard transformations ready for frequently used sources such as Exact Online. This means that the data is ready for consumption as soon as it is in the data warehouse. And soon we will even offer the option to add public data sources, such as CBS, Kadaster and KNMI. This enables our customers to gain even more insight into their data.
VDP as a fully managed service
The best part? We offer VDP as a fully managed service. No hassle with installations, maintenance or upgrades; we take care of it all. This way, our customers can focus on what really matters: making better, data-driven decisions.
The Victa Data Platform is not only suitable for analytics in tools such as Qlik and Power BI, but also for data integration and AI applications. The platform provides a solid foundation by making silos of source data secure and easily accessible. For companies that want to make rapid steps in the world of AI, VDP is a perfect solution.
