The Veiligheidsregio Haaglanden, one of the 25 safety regions in the Netherlands, coordinates daily firefighting, medical aid, and the 112 emergency service. Their aim? A safe region. Data analysis became essential. Eric van der Laan, senior information manager, explains: "We started around 2015 with business intelligence, leading to a growing need for analyses. To prevent fragmentation, we opted for a unified approach for the entire region."
