The Haaglanden Safety Region, one of 25 safety regions in the Netherlands, coordinates daily fire brigade care, medical care and the 112 control room. Their goal? A safe region. Data analysis became essential. Eric van der Laan, senior information manager, says: "We started with business intelligence around 2015, which created a growing need for analyses. To prevent fragmentation, we opted for a uniform approach for the entire region."
